This was actually the first time I encountered the term and as a common practice, and what my common sense dictates, I had to Google up oleophobic lenses right away.
Jumping to conclusions will get me nowhere and speculating about science and medicine seem like very far-fetched so I needed to call for help.
So, after a bit of snooping around I found out that this quintessential word turned out to be what most touchscreen gadgets and mobile phones use in order to repel those oily finger prints. Neat, right?
Gone are the days when your gadgets, which used to be those humongous cellular phones, are smudged with your, or worse, someone else’s finger prints or other distracting prints.
This modern-day innovation sees to it that not a speck of dirt or stamp will mar the beauty of your favorite gadget or get in the way of you trying to get past the 78th level of Angry Birds or trying to finish your favorite Chuck or Gossip Girl episode, or occasionally, finishing your favorite movie for the nth time. Talk about innovations to make life a breeze.
That is another word added into your vocabulary bank and don’t forget to make use of it the next time you hit the local electronics shop to look around for what’s latest in gadget and technology, right?
